The USA crew of Oksana Masters (LRC adaptive member) and Robert Jones (US Marine) stormed to an early lead over seasoned Brazil in the TA mixed double sculls (TAMix2x). Their lead was not relinquished as they finished in 4:11 for gold, Brazil in 4:18 for silver, and Russia at 4:37 for bronze. Louisville Adaptive Rowing program now has an Olympic team member in the boathouse, and Oksana and Rob will be traveling to London this summer for the paralympics. Best of luck!!! The LRC Juniors Program is comprised of novice and varsity high school rowers from nearly every school in the Louisville Metro Area. With Fall, Winter training, Spring and Summer sessions, the LRC Juniors Program and its head coach, Karen Delaney, work year-round to produce the best, most competitive oarsmen and women, many of whom go on to row at the college level. The Louisville Rowing Club (LRC) is a private, not-for-profit organization with the mission of promoting rowing in the Metro Louisville area. LRC offers members the opportunity to enjoy miles of scenic recreational and competitive rowing on the Ohio River. Our members have a wide range of experience, from novice - masters, and our programs include: learning to row, masters rowing, high school juniors rowing, and adaptive rowing.
